MY PAINTINGS
Not many know about my painting side, except for my family, relatives, close friends, and the people I grew up with in the village of Aomar in Algeria. As a primary school child, my French teacher saw a career as a painter in me and predicted I would become a great artist. I participated in and won many art competitions at school, before I later began spending more time on art, holding many exhibitions and meetings, encouraged by great Algerian artists such as Baya, Arezki, and Ziani. The official Algerian state TV channel covered my exhibition at the Racim gallery in Algiers. Two major newspapers and the state-owned TV Algerian channel made a report about the exhibition. My move to Paris to study art slowed that career down, and a few years later I was accepted to study at Helliden's art school in Sweden. I only had time to organize a few exhibitions in Sweden before music took up all my time, permanently.
